Asian Fusion Cabbage with Marinated Hot Banana Peppers

I’ve just recently discovered a fantastic way to marry the flavors of marinated hot banana peppers with raw cabbage.  If you’re a fan of slaw with a little extra zing – you’ll love this recipe! The great thing about slaw is that you can eat it alone or add it with other dishes. such as; tacos, sandwiches and even burgers.


  • Small sized cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1-2 grated carrots
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 small red pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup marinated hot banana peppers, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp brown rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp agave nectar
  • 1 tbsp vegenaise
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sesame & salt vegetable seasoning


Combine all sliced vegetables together in a medium size bowl. Add vinegar, vegenaise, nectar and oil and mix well. Refrigerate overnight.

Yield: 6-8 people
